Tumacacori Mission
-Watercolor painting on 140 lb paper - 16" x
12"
This Spanish mission in southern Arizona is
worthy of it's National Monument's status. It is full of
history and a reminder of just how hard the average person had to
work in order to make a living from this Sonoran desert. The
adobe bricks are thick and heavy and because it has not been
restored, it's easy see the bones of the mission. If you have
an afternoon while in southern Arizona it would be worth your while
to see this mission, as well as the restored beauty of San Xavier.
Monitor settings may make a difference in the colors and values
you see. I've adjusted these photos to look as close to the
originals as possible, but I cannot see what is on your monitor.
There is more information on my
FAQ page about monitor settings.
