Interior bedroom southwest adobe home painting Barbara Ann Spencer Jump

Sweet Dreams

Watercolor painting on 140 lb paper - 12 1/8" h x 16 1/8" w

In the southwest, adobe was the cheapest most immediately available building material. Of course, adobe in one form or another, is used all over the world.  It isn't unique to the southwest, it's just that most of the rest of the United States had different materials available to them.    This room only exists in my imagination.  Since my grandmother was a quilter, I'm into quilts, and would love to have a fireplace in my bedroom.  Oh well, some day!  I had fun decorating this room, there is even one of my paintings on the wall. This original painting is not currently matted or framed.

Monitor settings may make a difference in the colors and values you see.  I've adjusted these photos to look as close to the originals as possible, but I cannot see what is on your monitor.  There is more information on my FAQ page about monitor settings.
