Anasazi Pot with Native American Rug
watercolor painting on 300 lb paper, 22" h x 30" w
An Anasazi pot in a ruin within the cliff wall. This painting is about the ancient native culture in the southwest and the remnants that are found today within our canyons.
At a time long, long ago when I was a younger woman, my husband and I hiked into Keet Seel, and spent the night. Oh, what an experience that was! I'll be happy to tell you about it when we're sitting around a campfire, but it's too long a story for the internet.
Monitor settings may make a difference in the colors and values you see. I've adjusted these photos to look as close to the originals as possible, but I cannot see what is on your monitor. There is more information on my FAQ page about monitor settings.
