This is one of my paintings from many days on the south rim of the Grand Canyon.
There are few sites on the south rim of the Grand Canyon that are more inviting that those that are from the rim at dawn or sunset. Thousands of visitors a week visit the Canyon, but never see the sunrise or the sunset. The shadows and colors can be awe inspiring and can lead to a Canyon addiction. I know because that has happened to me. For several years I spent most of my summers at the Canyon doing art shows. Living, well, more like camping, there and getting to see the Canyon every morning and most evenings.
