When my garden blooms the hummingbirds come out to feed. Life is difficult for these little guys. They are constantly working to get enough to eat and seldom rest. This painting is about the hummingbird, and not the garden and that's why the perspective tells you that the hummingbird is so large. He's at your nose. Like he's at mine when I'm outside.
