Painting on Canvas - Bell Rock

Bell Rock, Sedona. It had been a good winter for rain and the wildflowers were happy and the prickly pear cactus was blooming.   I was in Sedona for a springtime show and was excited about all the cactus in bloom.

I can hardly imagine that 'Bell Rock' needs much explanation to those who frequent the southwest, but just in case, it's in Sedona. Arizona's Red Rock Country.

Sedona has developed into a posh place. It's a high priced tourist town and retirement community, but the bones are still good. There isn't a lot that over population can do to detract from the glorious combinations of the earth and sky in this location.

When I go on a painting trip to this area I have to paint around all the buildings, homes and businesses. I'm fortunate to have some old photographs that I took at least thirty years ago before she was discovered. Over the years I've done many art shows in a location just about 1/2 mile west of the location of this view.  This is one of the views from the park just south. 

Monitor settings may make a difference in the colors and values you see.  I've adjusted these photos to look as close to the originals as possible, but I cannot see what is on your monitor.  There is more information on my FAQ page about how to see if your monitor needs to be adjusted.

For this painting the shipping charges will be charged on an individual basis according to your location. 

This painting is over-sized and that can be a problem for out-of-state delivery, if it is shipped on the stretcher bars.

You will not receive an invoice for the shipping until we've determined the method of shipping together. 

Most Arizona residents will not be charged shipping because deliver/pick up is easy.
