Santa Fe style is not just about the furniture, it's about the mixture of objects, in form and color that reflect on the art work of the region. The southwest was a territory where material goods were not always readily available or even desired and furniture and furnishings often played double or triple duty, or had a second life in recycling. In this piece the color of the shutters is 'southwest', as are the tile floor, with the Native American rug. It all must have the large, red geraniums in pots so they can be moved with the season, and one of grandma's quilts for comfort.
Monitor settings may make a difference in the colors and values you see. I've adjusted these photos to look as close to the originals as possible, but I cannot see what is on your monitor. There is more information on my FAQ page about monitor settings.
