The blooming spring desert can be a fantasy land of flowers in all colors. I enjoyed collecting photographs and sketches to paint this painting and it's companion. Years ago an artist friend told me "Barbara, I always thought you put false eyelashes on the desert until I saw the desert in bloom this year!". You just don't know how wonderful these flowers can be until you are privileged to be in the right place at the right time.
This print is of one of my original watercolors that was commissioned by a notecard/Christmas card company here in the southwest. I decided to publish this as an open edition print, and it's been very popular.
